18-Jan 1906 C.H. Worland has sold to A.W. Bebb and Co. the building formerly used as a dancing hall.  J.A. Howell, mgr. of Bebb and Co. stated building will be moved across river and converted into store and the building now used by them will be used by Sam Black Hardware.
1-Mar 1906 Legal notice - partnership dba A.W. Bebb and Co. has been dissolved and J.A. Howell is the successor.

25-Mar 1909 W.E. Howell purchased  Herman Gates’ half-interest in Worland Mercantile Co.
23-Sep 1909 Ashby Howell purchased the entire grocery stock of May & DanforthMay & Danforth sold their dry goods to J.C. Parsons of Gunnison, CO., the latter buying the entire stock of dry goods owned by Howell.   Thus Worland has two mercantile stores with distinct lines of merchandise.  Parsons to be in the May & Danforth building.

20-Jan 1910 S.B. Howell, bookkeeper for Sam Black made a business trip to Gebo.

15-Sep 1910 Mrs. S.B. Howell opened a millinery store in the Foster Building.
29-Jul 1911 Wilbur Woodrow moved into the Ashby Howell house on Coburn.

7-Nov 1912 Lee Howell leased the meat market from O.S. Cutter.
6-Mar 1913 Last week O.S. Cutter bought out both meat markets which were conducted by Lee Howell and Cutter & Jones.  The shop will be found in the old stand in Hibbard’s Cash Grocery.
12-Jun 1913 Wedding - Evelyn May Langdon and Will Edward Howell, Mr. Howell has purchased the Hicks property on Coburn Ave.
27-Feb 1914 Clyde Warner and Lee Howell bought out Palace Clothing Co.

24-Jul 1914 F.P. Andrews purchased the house and lot on the corner of Culbertson and Rairden from J. Ashby Howell.

2-Apr 1915 W.E. Howell just completed the erection of a new house on Culbertson Ave.  This section of town is building up nicely and is one of the ideal building locations.

25-Feb 1916 Article - Three buildings burned.  The frame buildings on Big Horn Ave occupied by Mrs. M.C. Howell ladies furnishings; Charles Foster dry goods and Home Bakery burned to the ground.  The Ross Hibbard and Worland Mercantile stores were on fire also but were saved.
14-Apr 1916 Bowen Howell has moved a new house on to his lot on Culbertson Ave.
4-Aug 1916 C.W. Warner purchases the interest of C.L. Howell in the Warner-Howell Clothing Store.

16-Mar 1917 C.L. Howell has let the contract for a new home on his lot on Culbertson Ave.
4-May 1917 F.W. Wilkes to open new bakery next to Mrs. Howell’s Millinery Store.
24-Jan 1918 Mrs. Garrigus has bought the Howell home and will take possession Feb 1st.

4-Jul 1918 Oscar McClellan has purchased the S.B. Howell property on Culbertson and has moved his family over from the Nowood country.
6-Nov 1919 Annex Kash Grocery to open next door to Post Office by Billy Howell.

4-Aug 1921 Lee Howell moved his pool hall into the Mileski building and is now open for business with a large roomy place.
15-Jun 1922 Ad - Howell Stores Inc announce the purchase of the stock, fixtures, accounts and real estate formerly owned by Worland Mercantile Co and will conduct a general merchandise business.

13-Jul 1922 Roger Howell, son of M/M S.B. Howell received his government license to operate a  radio transmitting station.  Roger is the first in this area.
13-Jul 1922 Howell Stores being moved into the east side of the store building.  The Worland Furniture Co will move into the west side.
3-Aug 1922 M/M Harry Howell have moved into the M.G. Wild house on Culbertson.

19-Jul 1923 Article - J. Ashby Howell sells out to C.W. Sturgeon of Iowa.
16-Aug 1923 Three fires seven days - one in garage of Ashby Howell, a portion of this was part of the first building built on this side of the river.  It was the home of a Dr. Kelly who helped in the early days.   The 3rd fire was located at Arthur Wells Auto Repair shop opposite the Cook Hotel.
15-May 1924 J. Ashby Howell drove up from Casper.  He reports that the Canyon road is open and that the Highway Department has a team at the Badwater crossing for the free use of travelers who may get stuck there.
5-Feb 1925 W. A. Denton purchased the interests of C. W. Sturgeon in the Howell Stores and plans on moving all the dry goods into the building he now occupies and have his stock of groceries in the Howell building.
25-Jun 1925 Notice - Howell Stores Inc. is hereby dissolved.
17-Mar 1927 Article - Contracts let for gas line.  J. Ashby Howell and Bob Foster have part of the ditching contracts.
7-Apr 1927 Article - Came here 24 years ago today- about C. F. Robertson and surveying the Hanover Canals.  Also list a few of over 20 year residence; S.H. Black, J. Ashby Howell, H.L. Bonine, W.G. Johnston, L.E. Laird, Ray Hake and Noel Morgan.
23-Aug 1928 Howell and Foster contractors for the extension of water and sewer facilities are now busy with the trench work of that contract.
10-Jan 1929 The Washakie Livestock Loan Co. will move two doors south, occupying the room where Ashby Howell’s office was. (Stockgrowers Bank Building)
26-May 1932 C.O. Prill has remodeled the front of Lee Howell’s pool hall.
20-Jul 1933 Ashby Howell has rented on of the office buildings in the Stockgrowers Bank building and will go into the real estate business.
1-Aug 1935 C.L. Howell opened his new Heidelberg Bar in the Veal Building this morning.
