Mrs. Bess Dailey came to Worland in 1909 to be the secretary to John Lewis, president of the Hanover Land Co. She worked under the management of Ray Hake Sr.; Roger Culbertson, was clerk of the town council and secretary for the Alfalfa Club while Ashby Howell was president. She married Cy Salisbury and they had a daughter, Virginia, before Cy died on their second anniversary. She was C.F. Robertson's first secretary when he became the superintendent of the Wyoming Industrial Institute. Bess married Warren Dailey in 1916. In 1942 she opened a flower and gift shop called Bess Shoppe. Mrs. Dailey worked as deputy chief clerk of the Wyoming Senate 1936-1944. - adapted from "A History of Washakie County"
