William and Inez Denton moved to Worland in 1916 along with Mrs. Denton's parents. After a breif stay on Robertson Avenue the Dentons bought a farm on South Flat which they then sold to run the Pease Peterson store in town. The store changed locations several times during it's tenure in Worland. Mrs. Denton sold the store in 1945, three years after her husband's death. - adapted from "A History of Washakie County"
