Mr. John Evert moved to Worland in 1923 and married Dorothy Booker in 1928. During his long career Mr. Evert worked at the Post Office, Washakie Abstract Company, DT Pulliam Company, Washakie Development Co and was a director at the First National Bank. As manager of the DT Pulliam company, Mr. Evert has been responsible, with others, for much of the planning and subdividing of land for business and residential properties within the city. - adapted from "A History of Washakie County"
